Pastor Samuel Akal Mwangemi
Pastor Samuel Akal Mwanagemi, our spiritual leader, has a journey filled with faith, challenges and unwavering devotion. Hailing from a small village in Kakamega County, Kenya, he was inspired by his parents’ strong Christian faith. This calling led him to serve God and guide our church community on a transformative journey of faith and spiritual growth.
Duncan Maleche
Duncan Malecehe, our Assistant Pastor, is characterized by his strong faith, dedication, and commitment to service. He plays a vital role in supporting the church’s spiritual leadership by organizing worship services, delivering inspiring sermons, and providing pastoral care to those in need. Duncan also actively engages in outreach programs, demonstrating Jesus’s teachings through his actions, offering comfort, and spreading love in the community.
Brigid Ayuma
Brigid Ayuma, serving as the Assistant Pastor at Jesus Centered Church, is deeply involved in organizing worship services, delivering inspiring sermons, and providing pastoral care. Beyond the church, she extends her ministry to the community, serving the less fortunate and spreading love. Brigid’s compassionate and dedicated approach reflects her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others in the name of Christ.
Judith Gakii
Judith Gakii serves as our church secretary, with a deep passion for her role in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Her story is a testament to God’s guiding hand and the deep sense of purpose she’s found in serving her faith community.
Stella Murithi
Stella Murithi serves as our treasurer, managing the church’s finances with diligence and transparency. She sees her role as an opportunity to foster trust and financial accountability within our church community, and she actively engages in the life of our church.
Milly Abala
Milly Abala leads our Praise and Worship team, guiding our congregation in worship that resonates with the very essence of God’s spirit. Her story is a testament to the transformative power of worship, and she is humbled to be a part of this beautiful tapestry of faith and devotion within our church community.
Olivia Nyapom
Olivia Nyapom is the dedicated leader of our intercession team. Her tenure in this role has been defined by unwavering prayer, introspection and an ongoing pursuit of divine guidance. Olivia has devoted countless hours to fervent prayer within the church, interceding on behalf of the congregation and the wider community. Her narrative as an intercession leader at the Jesus Centered Church stands as a testament to the profound impact of faith and prayer. Olivia wholeheartedly embraces her divine calling and is profoundly thankful for the privilege of serving both God and her community in this capacity. Her greatest aspiration is that her journey inspires others to deepen their faith, seek God through prayer, and actively engage in making a positive impact in the lives of those around them.
Our Story
Our story is a testament to the unwavering faith and dedication that brought Jesus Centered Church into existence. Founded in 2018 by a group of visionary leaders, including Pastor Samuel Akal Mwangemi, Billy Omondi, Milly Abala, Judith Gakii and Duncan Maleche, our church emerged as a response to a deep desire to center our lives on Christ. Nestled in the heart of Nairobi County, Kenya, we recognized the need for a place where individuals could come together to worship, study God’s Word and experience His transformative love.
Despite the challenges we faced in the early days, from securing a suitable place of worship to navigating the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, our unwavering faith sustained us. We began with humble gatherings in homes, where prayers, hymns and the teachings of Christ formed the foundation of our faith community. Over time, we achieved significant milestones, including securing our first church building, acquiring essential equipment and launching outreach programs to serve our community’s needs. Our journey has been marked by trials and tribulations, but through it all, we have grown stronger in our faith and unity.
Today, Jesus Centered Church (JCC) stands as a thriving place where diverse individuals gather to worship, find spiritual deliverance, receive counseling and support the less fortunate. Our story is not just a historical account; it’s a living testament to the enduring power of faith, the love of Christ and the unwavering dedication of our faith community. We eagerly anticipate the chapters yet to be written in our church’s story, confident that God’s guidance and grace will continue to be our guiding light.
Where We Are Now
Where We Are Now at Jesus Centered Church (JCC) is a testament to God’s grace and our unwavering commitment to our mission. Since our inception, we have experienced remarkable growth, expanding our congregation in size and diversity.
Our outreach and community service programs have flourished, addressing local needs and supporting those affected by Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We’ve also established various ministries catering to the diverse needs of our congregation, deepened our spiritual engagement and celebrated life events together.
Through technological advancements, we’ve reached a broader audience, sharing the message of God’s love. As we look ahead, we’re grateful, inspired and committed to being a beacon of hope and transformation in our community.

As members of Jesus Centered Church (JCC), our primary mission is to live out Christ’s teachings through tangible acts of love and service in our community. We are dedicated to making a meaningful impact through:

Brief Statement of Faith
We believe in one true God, infinite in holiness and attributes, who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible, as divinely inspired and without error, serves as our supreme guide for Christian conduct and beliefs, with Jesus Christ as our interpretative lens.
Humanity, created in God’s image, fell from innocence through sin, but every individual possesses sacred dignity deserving of respect and Christian love. Salvation, obtained through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, involves regeneration, sanctification, and glorification, leading us toward moral and spiritual perfection.
The New Testament church, a local assembly of believers, operates autonomously under Jesus Christ’s headship. Water baptism symbolizes our faith in Christ’s sacrifice, while the Lord’s Supper commemorates His sacrifice and anticipation of His return.
